Information Architects Launches DR/HA Site

Valley Forge, PA
Sept 1, 2006

Information Architects has grown its business by focusing attention on mid-sized businesses and their need for cost-effective disaster recovery / high-availability solutions.  In concert with IAI's Neverfail Group partnership, the launch of a new collocation environment extends the option of hosted off-site protection to businesses that may not have this option readily available.

"We can now provide cost-effective hosting services for businesses with specific high-availability requirements without them having to buy a full rack's worth of space to protect a small number of critical servers or applications" says Eric Burke, IAI's Chief Executive.  "In addition, this highly-available environment provides us with a key point of presence for managing our outsourced network monitoring clients as well."

DBSi is key to our success...

DBSi is a leading provider of hardened, secure, datacenter environments in the Northeast and was selected after a significant review of datacenter options in the area.  "In the past, we've placed gear in locations more centrally located in Northern NJ, however these sites are often too close to our core customers to protect against serious environmental disasters" states Frank Vizzuso, President of Information Architects.

"We looked for a site out of this 'red zone', with excellent security and high-availability measures in place, 24-hour staffing for 'remote hands' support and card-based 24-hour access for our own staff.  This enables us to respond to disasters and networking / platform issues at any time of day.  Many facilities are restricted by 'elevator hours', no 'remote hands' support, and so forth.  Finally, we looked for a site with extensive amounts of bandwidth into our core markets with a focus on another key partner, Yipes Enterprise Services.  DBSi offered all of the above and has become a significant partner, allowing us to more reliably service our clients anywhere in the US."
